Spitbank Fort

The restoration of the world-famous and unique Spitbank Fort in The Solent began in November 2009. The detailed refurbishments, due for completion in March 2012, will see the transformation of this former Napoleonic fort into a sumptuous eight bedroom iconic destination. Working closely with English Heritage and other specialist organisations, Amazing Retreats will ensure that the historical aspect of the fort is maintained, whilst at the same time developing this unusual and exciting building into a 5* luxury retreat. Amazing Retreats have commissioned local experts PLC Architects in Portsmouth to transform and restore this ancient building.

The eight bedrooms will be luxuriously fitted to the highest standard and the decadence doesn’t end there with facilities including three private dining rooms, three bars, wine cellar, an open-air hot-tub , sauna & sundeck and games rooms.
