The Mill

About The Mill

The Mill is a truly beautiful property. Set in glorious waterside surroundings and flanked by open fields, it sits on the banks of the River Ivel in the pretty village of Blunham. The Mill, built in 1812 stands on the site of a mill mentioned in The Doomsday Book.

The building itself is full of charm and character. Stunning dual aspect living accommodation is bathed in natural light as the waters flow beneath the building and the water wheel spins lazily alongside. Eighteen guests can enjoy the superb facilities which includes two kitchens, living rooms, a glamorous master bedroom and a recreation room. The fully refitted kitchen contains every appliance you could need and the surround sound system here and in the living room builds the perfect atmosphere. Numerous other details fill the house from the original mill ironworks in the kitchen and the fireplace from Titanic in the dining room to the more modern touches of underfloor heating and programmable lighting.

Strolling by the streams or sitting on their banks with a book or a drink is an ideal way to pass the time and the waters also provide excellent fishing. Blunham itself is a perfect country village with a church, village store, butchers and two pubs, all within walking distance.
