Tower bedrooms, 4th floor
Lady Louisa's room
An extra large room with the shower room carved into the fortress wall. Lady Louisa was a great Victorian collector of butterflies and beetles, fossils and rocks. She must have been a very busy lady as she navigated the estate through a difficult period when her husband had vanished to Venice with her sister, never to return. You will find some of Lady Louisa’s collection here, but not her husband's!
2 single beds 100 cm x 2 m (3’3” x 6’3”) or linked to form large king size bed.
Cospatrick's room
An extra large twin room with a shower cut into the walls of the medieval tower fortification, which are 5m thick. You will have to make your own mind up about Cospatrick. He was the last male heir in the Dunbar line who was killed by a tram on The Strand, London in 1966. In it you will find his playthings like the cricket stumps and boxing gloves. A real boy's room and great fun with views over the estate towards our famous Tree House.
